CS3 Updates 

 

Welcome Aziza Hummeid, Program Manager 

CS3 is thrilled to introduce a new member to the team, Aziza Hummeid, who joined as our Program Manager in July.  

Currently, Aziza manages the Community Parenting Support Saturation (CPSS) project. She maintains relationships with all three CPSS communities (Aurora, North Lawndale, and Rockford); oversees implementation and capacity-building; and participants to lead and inform program design and evaluation. Prior to joining IAFC in 2023, Aziza was a graduate-level researcher, specializing in program evaluation through participatory methods. She earned a B.A. in political science from Indiana University and a master’s degree in international public service from DePaul University. Outside of work, she loves art and is planning another painting. She also enjoys walking along the lakefront and cooking big family meals for gettogethers. 

 

Congratulate Deb Hwang, Assistant Director 

Please join us in congratulating Deb Hwang on her promotion from CS3 Program Manager to Assistant Director! In her new role, Deb will continue to lead the administration and operation of the CS3 grant, including the planning of the annual Partner Plan Act Conference. 

Deb completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and obtained her master’s degree at the University of Chicago Crown School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice. During her free time, she enjoys bouldering, watching movies, and exploring her neighborhood—Uptown. 

Access Research and Data Analysis Support from EduDream 

The CS3 team is partnering with EduDream again in FY25 to provide early childhood community collaborations with research and analysis support. EduDream is a Latina-founded, woman-owned, research consulting firm inspiring transformation within education by bringing community voice and rigorous research together. The research and analysis support may include conducting landscape analyses of early childhood services, collecting secondary data, conducting trend analysis, developing data insights, or qualitative research and analysis.  

The research and data analysis support can help collaborations better understand the availability of high-quality early childhood education and care (ECEC) services in the community, families’ access to high-quality ECEC, workforce or facilities questions around ECEC, or ECEC costs to families.   

If your early childhood collaboration is interested in receiving research and analysis support, please complete this Request for Supportby 8/30 and submit it to Deb Hwang.

Help Build the Illinois Early Childhood Community Collaboration Directory 

We invite you to share details on your collaboration to be included in the online directory and interactive collaboration map. The online directory will live on the Partner Plan Act website and be updated periodically throughout the year. Add Your Collaboration.

Request Printing Support 

The CS3 team is continuing to offer support in partnership with American Color Labs for printing services. If your local early childhood collaboration has marketing materials that you’d like to print, please complete this Request for Support form.   

Printing support can include flyers, annual reports, marketing collateral, stickers, banners, posters, and more. Please reach out to the CS3 team. team if you have questions about this support.  

PLEASE NOTE: This is a service provided specifically to early childhood education and care (ECEC) collaborations. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate requests for individual programs.
