Regional Community Systems Training and Technical Assistance

In 2021, the Community Systems Statewide Supports (CS3) team expanded its training and technical assistance program to build the capacity and support the new 39 regional and community system, Birth to Five Illinois.

In the Regional and Community Systems project, IAFC will support regional council managers and staff as they work to implement a statewide regional community system focused on building equitable access to inclusive, high-quality early childhood services for all children and families in Illinois.

The training and technical assistance includes a foundational training series and tailored coaching support provided to Regional Council Managers.

Foundational Trainings

The foundational training series includes seven trainings covering a range of topics. This training series is meant to offer an orientation to early childhood education and care, community systems development, racial equity, and community planning and assessment. These trainings are open to all regional community systems (Birth to Five) staff, and Action Council and Family Councils members.
