Kristina Rogers

Director

Kristina Rogers is the Director of Community Systems Statewide Supports, bringing over 15 years of experience in early childhood systems, policy, and community engagement to the role. Her career in early childhood began at Illinois Action for Children, working directly with children, families, providers, and schools in the North Lawndale community. During this time, she was instrumental in developing the North Lawndale Early Childhood Collaboration, leading initiatives to address chronic absenteeism, reduce early intervention waitlists, increase program enrollment, and support seamless transitions from home-visiting services to quality preschool.

Kristina later joined the Community Systems Statewide Supports team, where she applied her on-the-ground experience to support early childhood collaborations across Illinois in tackling similar systemic challenges. In 2022, she became the Director of Reach Out and Read at the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, furthering her commitment to improving early childhood outcomes, before returning to lead the CS3 team at Illinois Action for Children.

Kristina holds a Bachelor’s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Science in Public Service Management from DePaul University. Deeply committed to community building and policymaking, she was appointed in June 2022 (and later elected) to the Oak Park Public Library Board. She resides in Oak Park with her spouse, two young children, and dog, and is passionate about creating the conditions for children and families to thrive.
