Events & Resources


The following learning opportunities are designed to support collaborations build and continuously improve local systems of early childhood services with the goal of ensuring that children birth through age five receive the support they need to enter kindergarten healthy, safe, ready to succeed, and eager to learn. Illinois Risk and Reach Project

Cristina Pacione-Zayas from Erikson Institute and the CS3 Team at Illinois Action for Children jointly presented on the new Illinois Risk and Reach Project.

The Illinois Risk and Reach Project is a set of data tools that includes a comprehensive early childhood focused report and interactive website compiling analysis of child well-being indicated in relation to state investments in three domains: family stability, health, and early care and education. Data are visualized through tables and maps in three categories: “Risk”, “Reach”, and Budget Analysis.

KIDS Data: A Guide for Early Childhood Collaborations (10/9/19)

Illinois Action for Children offered a webinar on October 30th focused on the Kindergarten Individual Development Survey (KIDS) data. The webinar discusses what the results might indicate for your community. It walks collaborations through how to access and analyze the data and discusses ways to use the data to improve the local early childhood system.
